What is a Catamaran?

Today I will try tell you what a catamaran actually is.
A catamaran is type of water craft. But it is not just any type of vessel it has two hulls, which means it has two separate parts sitting on the water instead of just one part or the whole craft. Between its two hulls is water and you can look straight threw the middle from the front or back, but on the top of the hulls depending on the vessel type, but there is usually a lot more space then a mono-hull of the same length.
Catamarans are used over mono-hulls for many reasons some being that cats are a lot more stable on the water than mono-hulls especially in sail boats and cruisers. They also have the ability to be a lot faster than mono-hulls. Catamarans are used in many variations the Americas cup boats are cats, fast ferries tend to be a catamaran, there are also small dinghies and sailboats which are high performance cats and catamaran day cruisers are very popular in sunny holiday areas around the world.
